This strikes just a little too close to the bone for my liking…

Beep beep.

But only for a short time. I’m off to South Africa again for work in a few short days. Other than that I don’t have too much to report on right now, mostly cause I’m lazy, but here’s some photos from our recent trip to France with Tom & Carol:

In other weird news, apparently this photo was short-listed for inclusion on schmap.com’s website, but I was too late noticing the Flickr mail that was sent to me. Oh well, maybe next life I’ll be an internationally recognized photographic superstar!

Sorry for the dirth of posts, but it’s been a bit crazy lately. We’ve moved house to a place just around the corner, and have had Tom and Carol here to visit. So we’ve been showing them Belfast, and have spent the last 5 days in France (photos to come). But all this moving means that we’re without internet at home for 15 business days, so you’ll have to wait, with bated breath I’m sure.

Minesweeper: The Movie.

Took a few more photos of murals this weekend when my sister Maggie was in town. So here they are! With descriptions! Will the wonders never cease! It would be wise, however, not to expect this level of activity in the future…

Firstly, there’s been a few updates on the Solidarity Wall, situated on the Falls Road just around the corner from my work. Here’s the original wall:

But now they’ve replaced Bodenstown, Manchester Martyrs and Fight Racism with Supporting Community Artists:

and Las Brigadas Internacionales:

I had to read up on that last one, the wikipedia entry is here if you’re interested. Full points to Las Brigadas for well designed poster art!

Today is, I think, my one year anniversary of leaving here in Northern Ireland. And now, the UK army is pulling out, I think in acknowledgement of the safety and prosperity I have brought this once troubled little nation. Or maybe not, things are always complicated here.
