Normally I leave it to Wolf and Dan to go on about how screwed the American economy is, but I was watching a show on discovery channel on the building of the “Hard Rock Theme Park” .. you know like Hard Rock Cafe.. but in theme park form. The whole time all I can think of is who the hell green lighted this idea? Who is going to go to a theme park where one of the major attractions is a ride based on ‘Nights in White Satin’? Turns out not a lot of people…

So the whole familly is home sick, how do you pass time when everyone is in ‘zombie’ mode? Channel 230. It’s the “Frame” station, it puts up a slide show of various photos, turning you HD tv into a ‘picture frame’. We watched ‘Sands of Time’, ‘Gardens of delight’ and ‘Water world’… rivetting..

This time next week we’ll leave daylight savings time.  What that means is that it’ll be 5.30pm now and it’ll be dark.  I’m looking forward to it ’cause it means we’re getting closer to that wonderful festive season where butchers in the covered market hang dead animals out front of their stores like this.

I’m not looking forward to getting over whatever illness it is that i’m currently battling….

excellent!  My fave was Brewdog’s “Bashah” at 8.6%.  A lovely way to end the evening!  But there are more to sample than those I’ve tried tonight, some 140 real ales served from the cask – the best way to drink them!
