So with Dan planning on doing a bunch of biking to get ready to ride to Seattle maybe he could practice a few things like this guy.
Things get pretty impressive near the end of the video.

I’m looking for help. I’ve started not liking the way my current photo sharing website works. So I’m looking for a solution. In particular, I don’t like how Flick r only allows you to have 200 photos in your account (unless you pay…). I’ve found photobucket allows 1 gb of storage, so if you convert all your photos to about 150 kb (which I do) then you will get many thousands on their servers… But I’m worried that they will change this or limit you some how down the track.
So all I reallly want to be able to do is
- upload photos easily (preferably not via ftp)
- tag photos so you can search by tags
- have unlimited numbers of photos (I am ok with limited traffic and web space)
- be able to link one or many photos on my blog (ie a group of photos from the same holiday etc)
I would be happy with an interface that handles the web side of organisation if I provide the actual web space (I have about 10 gb to use).
Anyone got any suggestions??

Sometimes I get ideas into my head. Not often, but sometimes :
“Dan, I think it’s a good idea to work on your Zombie culling skills.”
“Dan, you should go make yourself a tasty beverage.”
“Dan, today would be a good day of the week to wear pants.”
“Dan, why don’t you grab your helmet, hop on your bicycle and ride some insane distance over multiple days to some foreign country and raise some money for Cancer Research while doing this ride.”
This last thought had me puzzled a bit. It’s a little outside of my normal Zombie culling-drink making-no pants wearing-world. Well my brain doesn’t ofter lead me seriously wrong, so I thought I’d pay some heed to this thought and see where it takes me.
So I signed up for The Ride to Conquer Cancer. It’s a Vancouver to Seattle, 300km, two day bicycle ride on June 20-21. I’ll just bold that one little part…BICYCLE 300KM IN TWO DAYS! I’m also supposed to raise a minimum of $2500….let me just bold that as well RAISE A MINIMUM OF $2500! I’m a little uncertain which part concerns me more, the distance I’ll be riding, or the funds I’m supposed to raise. Well this last part is where you, my philanthropist friends, come in.
So whatever your motive; if you know someone that would benefit from Cancer Research, if you’ve known someone in the past with Cancer, or if you’re pleasure is to pay to see me suffer for two days, I’ll take any and all comers to the donation fund.
So here’s how it’s done. Go to this Sponsor Dan’s Ride link.
Click on the yellow “Sponsor Dan Healey” button, and follow along the instructions.
If you are considering donating, sooner rather then later would help me sleep better at night as I’ve never tried to raise this kind of money before and it certainly seems like a daunting task. As well, spread the word, I’ll take donations from any and all sources.
Thanks in advance for anything that you can contribute!
“Cos all I want to do is,
Bicycle bicycle bicycle!
I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle!
I want to ride my bicycle,
I want to ride my bike.
I want to ride my bicycle,
I want to ride it where I like!”

So at the Spinal Tap show last night they played this video:
That alone made the show, but I got more… much more…
Some other similar ones (also great) are:
It’s the 25th year aniversary and they pointed out you can now go to their offical site and download the finished version of Saucy Jack.

We set out from Oxford just after work on Wednesday. I went and got a rental car, came home and picked Kate up. Surprisingly, we managed to fill the boot of our Vauxhaul Vectra quite easily.
So we headed north… what an English person would call a long way north… about 400 km. we arrived in the lakes districk at about 10 pm… enough time to pitch the twnt, cook some pasta and head to bed. I was anxious to see where we were… it was dark when we arrived, so what’s it going ro look likw in the morning? This is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in England…. more tomorrow, and maybe some pics!

An interesting read from Wired about the Settlers of Catan
There’s really a Museum of Bad Art?? (AKA reasons to never take wikipedia 100% seriously)
An April Fools joke on Wookiepedia? Some people really take their Star Wars Wikis too seriously.
Thats all I got for you. Have a good Friday

This fills me with so much glee I’m about to burst!
World War Z – An Oral History Of The Zombie War
It’s coming to the big screen. WHEEEE!!! Directed by Marc Forster (the guy that did the latest James Bond movie – Quantum of Solace).
I fully enjoyed the book, good take on a Zombie story :
“Ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z, Max Brooks scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity.”
Maybe I can sign up as a technical advisor, I know a thing or two about Zombies…
“I dreamt that there were Zombies,
Right outside my window christmas night.
Hungy for some flesh to eat,
But I was hungry for a fight!”
