Christmas preparations
All through our house, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse (I am banging away on the keyboard to type this post though). Blondie and I are getting ready for a visit tonight to SlantyOJ/Proxy’s. That’s walking distance so we expect that visit to be a relatively straightforward affair (although, we may choose to brave the roads, we’ll see).
The big question, though, is actually Christmas dinner. We’re actually leaving the option open of being snowed in for Christmas dinner (and not venturing on the highways to White Rock). Its an interesting up in the air sort of situation — what do you stock up on for CHRISTMAS if you’re thinking that many nearby stores will be closed (and you want to minimize your driving?)
Based on our pantry, its crackers, cheese, pate, eggnog and wine. If it comes to that, I’m sure our family will have a grand old time watching a crackling fire.
Merry Christmas to all.
Update: Per Oz’s request, here’s a photo of the house, more photos available (including one with Santa) available in the gallery

It’s been feverish here, people stocking up like the shops are never going to open again…
“Crikey I need 20 rolls of aluminium foil – Just in case!”
But I noticed today that the supermarkets are opening on Boxing day. So it’s only Christmas day that everything is closed.
We aren’t expecting snow though, pity, so I guess we don’t have to worry about being snowed in.
I expect some snow photos to satiate my desire for a white Christmas
