Profile Tires and Bad Drivers…
That is like drinking and driving for the common driver, well maybe just me since I am a cheap drunk. I am always amazed at people who have their fancy sporty cars all blinged out with rims etc… and think(or are clueless) that profile tires don’t work in deep snow!
Gan touched on the snow subject, and for me the people who think just because there is more snow on the sides of the road, gives them a valid reason to:
- drive their car at a snails pace, even though their car(well tires) have no business being on the road
- park their car so far from the curb that it blocks traffic
- attempt U-turns on roads too snowy for them to drive on, only to get stuck in the snow in the middle of the intersection
- any other observations out there???
I don’t get road rage, really I don’t. But it boggles the mind what people do out there who have no business driving in the snow.
Edit: thanks for the heads up on my grammer. Though even in my AWD subaru I was having a tough time. And a few fender benders… definately isn’t safe for anyone!

I’m a little unclear — I assume that you mean that profile tires don’t work in snow (not that “(they) think that profile tires don’t work in deep snow”)
I’m a little hesitant to point fingers as we may venture out in a day or so, and we don’t have winter tires. We’re avoiding all unnecessary travel, so the car has been buried for nearly a week, but, we’ll see how she goes.
Its pretty freaky seeing an articulated bus jackknifed on a road, or being towed. Who knew you could even tow those things?
Parking on the side of a major road (ie: Broadway) seems like a bad idea. Its just asking to have a mountain of snow ploughed up to your driver side door…
