September 2008

Our first day we arrived in Vancouver,
taking the ferry over to Gibsons to see everyone and stay for
a week with the Kelso's. Benji's first ferry ride too.

This seagull would circle the boat just by
coasting in the warm air currents.Benji was quite fascinated by it. Megan Kelso, pregnant with her first child.
It was the most relaxing place we stayed.
The ocean wasn't far away either.
After walking down to the ocean we let the dogs play "fetch".
Bailey patiently waiting to get the stick from
Halley (has the stick) and Spencer (reaching for it)
Eureka, it worked! The stick is all mine.
Unfortunately rinsing off the salt water once we returned
to the house, wasn't as much fun for him.

Benji – 6 months

Sasha finally warms up to our little monster.
Benji and daddy getting ready to go outside.
Our visit with Jason's first cousin Monica and her
oldest (Hayley) which is Benji's second cousin.
Couldn't quite make it through the whole visit.
Look at the height I can get, this thing is great!!!

Excuse me that's my remote! (Benji's cousin Maria)
Quick she's not looking, I'll tickle her from behind.
Two peas in a pod, Maria and Benji.
Oohh, we like Kitties!
Daddy zoobers are the best!!!!!

My two boys just hanging around
Sniff, You don't smell like a dog?
Look Mom, I can take my own pictures!
My little budda, reading in the bath.
Eventually he won't need mom's help to stand.

Summer of the kid, continued thoughts

“That’s right, lets play with the truck truck truck… it rhymes with this duck duck duck…which rhymes with… ah, nevermind… I’ll let some kid on the playground teach you that….”

Having recently paid for the piano to be moved into the house, and now having paid for a pottery wheel and kiln to be moved in, I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re not moving for a while.  Of course, I’ve stuck my foot in it before, so we’ll see.

Man, here’s a LOT of laundry to be done.  How do those of you who have gone back to work with kids get it all done?  And MAN, I have no idea how single parents do it.

On the Home front

Well, I have had a few weeks off now and have been doing some fixes/improvements to our home – things like replacing leaking wax seals on 37 yr old toilets, replacing 37 year old welded on faucets (that was a biatch), mapping out the circuit breakers while discovering non-working plugs and switches that mysteriously don’t connect to anything, and changing 37 year old light switches. This of course is all just practice for my master plan….to build a secret passage.

funny side note – wordpress actually labels “biatch” as misspelled and provides the correct spelling.

The Jesus Shot

So a funny video was posted up on youtube regarding the Tiger Woods 09 video game and how Tiger Woods defies conventional restrictions on human movement.

But then EA captured a rare moment to prove that anything can happen.

Good comedy.

I’ll never think of Vista in the same way..

So Gord said he hadn’t seen the new Microsoft ad with Gates and Sienfield yet. I didn’t think it was worth posting about until I read this take on it by Dvorak.. windows will never be the same..
