Benji - Last of the trip and visitors

Party Animals all the way.
Ed and Tracey visiting from Gibbsons after returning from New Zealand
Getting a little frustrated trying to sit up!
Our last night on the road -
hanging in the hotel with the remote watching the tube.
Showing off his feet - Still in a good mood at the hotel

Benji on his first trip to the Okanagan - 4 months

Hi Mommy! Look at me with Grandma, aren't I the cutest baby.
Watching TV with Great Grandma. She knows how to relax!
Grandma, Great Grandma, Benji and Me.
I'm filling in for Jason. Four generations!
Here with Great Auntie Deb.
She has a granddaughter that is my second cousin
and is only 2 months younger than me.
Mommy forgot to take a picture of her but we'll see Samantha at Christmas
Grandma, Benji and Great Grandma in the Okanagan enjoying the weather.

The number of the beast

First it was ‘Wrath of the Lich King’, then it was ‘Starcraft 2′…now for my favourite in the series.

Robotech + Big Screen = Quivering with joy!

When I read this today, I was filled with childlike glee!

“Live-action film
Hollywood Reporter stated that Warner Bros. had acquired the film rights to Robotech and would be producing a live-action film with an as-yet-unknown release date. Tobey Maguire is producing the film through his Maguire Entertainment banner and may be playing the lead role in what the studio plans on being a tentpole sci-fi franchise.

‘We are very excited to bring Robotech to the big screen. There is a rich mythology that will be a great foundation for a sophisticated, smart and entertaining film.’
—Tobey Maguire,

Drew Crevello also is producing through his Supercool Hollywood BigTime Productions Company. Craig Zahler (”The Brigands of Rattleborge”) has been tapped to write the screenplay.

In an interview, Harmony Gold representative Kevin McKeever said that Warner Brothers had approached Harmony Gold about the project, that Harmony Gold would have “a say” in its creative direction, and that it was not expected to affect the production schedule for Shadow Rising. He was unable to confirm any details of budget, casting, expected release date, or storyline, explaining that it was too early in the life of the project for these things to have been decided.

In June 2008, it was reported that Lawrence Kasdan had been hired to write the film, with Charles Roven and Akiva Goldsman joining Drew Crevello and Tobey Maguire as producers.”

You are my Robo-Masters!

I remember plunking myself down infront of the TV every Saturday morning at 10am to watch my weekly fix of Animie. Good times that!

When I was a little older, I bought the entire DVD series to watch at my leisure. Good times that!

Now, it appears like they’re going to take Robotech to the Big Screen in a live action version. Good times that!

“With strong hearts that beat as one,
Watch us soar,
And with love that conquers all
We’ll win this battle,
This last battle,
We will win
We must win”

(incase that song is too obscure, it’s ‘We Will Win’ sung by Minmei. Put that song on repeat and you pretty much have all the background music for most of the Robotech shows…)

Architecture 101

This is a crazy new buidling that Dubai is planning on putting up.

Key quote:
“I call these buildings designed by time, shaped by life,” said the Florence-based architect, who has never built a sky-scraper before.

Colbert Vs Cookie Monster

So saw this on TV the other day when Wolf and I were hanging out, funniest thing I’ve seen in a while :

Cookies!!!

Then Wolf sent me this link, a little shorter but also good :

More Cookies!!!

“C is for cookie,
That’s good enough for me!”
Cookie cookie cookie starts with C!”

Huh?

No one seems to think that my webpage banner is an ugly colour, are people colour blind? Or are the ~200 unique hits i’m getting a week from spam bots only?  Still no internet at home.  Does anyone else remember what life was like before the internet?  How do you answer questions like “what’s the weather like tomorrow?” or “Who was the 19th prime minister of Australia?” or “which jam company supplies to the English royal family?”.  It was Prince William’s birthday on the weekend.  Wonder if he got a special breakfast?

Needless to say, I spent an amount of time at work on the weekend, just seemed like something interesting to do…

What? you can buy one of these?
