I now know what they mean when they say…

“Flurries”

The weather forcast was for snow flurries, but it turns out we have the flurries and so far no snow.  BUT there is still hope!

Bring on the snow!!

Monday evening…

The state of the house when we came home from work… these guys are fast!

Just like WWII all over again

Do not click if you are adverse to liberal propaganda

My only real fear is that one day we are going to look back and accuse these guys of being time travelers who were really really lame at trying to warn us about the future.
And on a side note: I really want to re-read the book 1984. But at the same time I want to be able to sleep at night. Right now the battle between being more conscious of our social situation is losing out to my desire to sleep at night. Videos like this don’t help much.

Fake it

You probably heard about the fake Jessica Simpson the New York post hired to distract the Dallas Cowboys quarter back.

This is what someone planning to pull a similar stunt on the Canucks would be looking for:
'nuck girls

Did any of you happen to catch Brent Butt doing colour for the game last week?

Photos up!

I’ve put a few photos of London here

Beep.

Beep beep.

Let the jokes about “hot lingerie” begin

La Senza recalls a line of baby-doll lingerie due to flammability concerns.

Slanty at War

SlantyNet is once again a warzone.  We’re choosing sides and moving armies.  And no doubt, backstabbing one another on the way.
Slanty has started up another game of Diplomacy.  We’ve had two games before, way way way back (when we had more time and fewer babies and more sleep), so it’ll be interesting to see how this all goes.  Slanty2D and I were trying to remember how it all went down, oh so long ago.  Turns out, Napoleon 2D won the first game.  If you want the play by play, you can view it in the old Slanty Warroom.

We started a second game as well, but I think that one petered out.  It looked pretty interesting, as it was a Colonial variant set in Asia.  Slanty Warroom, Asian edition.

This time, we’re using an online judge (the DPJudge) instead of a program that you need to install, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.  With an online community (and a ton of variants), it could really make for a lot more games of Diplomacy.
