I just realized in conversation with my parents that our son’s name is going to be kind of difficult for them to pronounce, with R’s and V’s often causing problems for Cantonese speakers.

Sorry mom and dad! Maybe we’ll just have ‘em call him little T. To distinguish him from his aunties, both of which will be big T.

So I’ve played Tetris – it was OK, got bored. Lacked the thrill that World of Warcraft or watching dust settle has. But this guy has taken it to a new level. If you think the first bit is impressive…watch to the end.

Anyone looking to travel? Here’s a pretty wild trip my Mom’s considering…

Things I’ve already had happen:

1. golden shower (sure, I’ve heard that little boys react badly to diaper changes while its cold, but I didn’t think….)
2. laughed at by the wife for the golden shower
3. laughed at wife when she received her comeuppance (same golden shower) three changes later
4. holding the kid and feeling a warm wet spot on the stomach. “uh oh”…
5. kid spasming while held, soundly landing on my lap, causing understandable concern for mom
6. Slept thru the kid waking mom at night. Seems my selective deafness is better than I thought.

Lots of other things I’m sure, but thats the highlights.

That’d be my son’s website which is a photo gallery for the time being.  Mom and Dad are doing great except for the pronounced lack of sleep.

But only for a short time. I’m off to South Africa again for work in a few short days. Other than that I don’t have too much to report on right now, mostly cause I’m lazy, but here’s some photos from our recent trip to France with Tom & Carol:

In other weird news, apparently this photo was short-listed for inclusion on schmap.com’s website, but I was too late noticing the Flickr mail that was sent to me. Oh well, maybe next life I’ll be an internationally recognized photographic superstar!

We are still pre-release, if y’know what I mean.

In the meantime, you may amuse yourself by trying to figure out if you recognize all of these references that the Simpsons makes to various movies.  Points for all the movies that you identify.  Extra points for recognizing all of the Simpsons episodes…

I don’t think I’ve even seen all of the movies, but recognize some of the references in spite of that.
