Cut and paste sort of jerseys. More of an evolution rather than a revolution. Not sure I like the juxtaposition of the orca and the VANCOUVER lettering. Can’t complain about the colors.
looks like design-by-committee to me. colours are good. isn’t this just a bad corporatification of the ‘retro’ jersey?
Sadly I saw so little Canuck hockey this past year I can’t really recall what the old jerseys looked like. On the whole, these ones seem fine. I personally like the big Vancouver lettering, but it really doesn’t make sense to keep the orca logo. Nicely oceanic creature, I suppose, but it’s a corporate thing for a corporation that’s no longer involved. Makes no sense.
Overall it could be worse.. I’m not a huge fan of the RBK style jersey so right of the bat that turns me off.. the colors are good, but on the white (away? or did they switch it again) jersey I don’t like the blue 1/2 way down the arm… makes it look like an NFL jersey..
am i the only one that will say that the new jerseys are terrible? come on people! the old school retro lettering, and the “new” whale logo? what the hell are we doin here?
if this is the new jersey, we might as well bring back the big V, or go back to the ole pee-yellow home unis.
it seems the RBK style makes the players look .. thinner? not as bulky for sure. maybe that’ll help with the goal scoring.
but to recap: i don’t like ‘em.
