Dear very stylish people. It’s snowing in Vancouver. Have you packed your Uggs away somewhere nice and safe, coz I don’t see people wearing them out and about. Just wondering. My Blunnies wore just fine, thanks.

You’ll all be happy to know that the Crusaders defeated the dastardly Newry City boys in the soccer match I went to today. Not only that, but I bet the treble on the Crusaders, Cliftonville, and Armagh City and they all won which means I got a £35 pound return on my £5 ‘investment’. Most excellent. There’s a bookies down the end of the road, i might have to start going….

It’s amazing how quickly one settles into life where nothing exciting really happens. At least nothing worth noting. Lots of individual fun nights out, I’m making some progress at work in that I finally got a computer with Visual Studio on it, etc. But nothing really earth shattering is happening. Kinda boring after those 2 or 3 months of excitement I suppose. BUT! I’ve put the decision off long enough, I’m going to have to start supporting a Premiership football club. All male bonding here is centered around football related activities, and you lack a certain amount of credibility if you won’t commit to a team, so I’m asking all and sundry to leave comments letting me know what’s the best team to support. A word of warning though, Liverpool and Everton are both out, as they are supported by my brothers-in-law respectively. Chelsea and Manchester United are too easy. Other than that I’m willing to listen to any arguments one way or another. i’m looking at you Brad and Alvin, since you’re the only ones that seem to know anything about the game. Italian teams don’t count either.

I’ve been relying heavily on the Vancouver Coastal Health website lately to stay updated on the status of the water boiling situation. Its reassuring to see they update the site regularly, whether or not there has been a change in the status.
While I’m surfing that publicly funded website, I’ve also been checking out the CBC site. Some days, its a gold mine.
The CBC. Don’t say you don’t get anything for your tax dollars.

Oh, yeah. I forgot… It IS dirt.
For those of you that don’t know, Vancouver has a ‘boil water’ advisory on due to the heavy rain. Its wild. If anything has even maybe touched non-boiled water, I send it thru the dishwasher. I’m not sure how useful this is, I mean its not like the dishwater is boiled or anything…
(Is there any point to cleaning the bathroom, etc?)
Brushing teeth requires remembering to use clean water. So does washing veggies. And so does making coffee, which is a bit of a pain…
And thus, we persevere.

Well I know I have vanished into my own world and haven’t kept really in touch with most of the slanty gang[my appologies]. So I would like to enlighten you all with my latest venture in life… my ‘own’ dental office!
The papers are being made up for me to take over an existing dental office where I[actually read the bank] will buy out a dentist’s office. Everything is pretty much in the hands of the lawyers, so hopefully by the end of the month or so everything will be in place.
The office is called ‘Accord Dental Clinic’. It is located on 2385 West 4th Ave[beside the safeway on west 4th, and in the same building that the royal bank and McD's are located in]. Parking is in the back, meters out front, pay parking beside or the safeway parking lot for those who dare
.
I welcome new patients or to those who pass along some words pointing people in my direction.

So here’s the promised photos from our bus tour:
It’s actually from our bus tour, and then our trip up to Belfast castle. There’s a lot of photos of the castle, cause I thought it might be good for James to model for his work. I pared them down a bit, but there’s still a ton. Some of the descriptions are pretty crap as well, but c’est la vie. There’s a bunch of murals on the Falls road you’ll see, I ride by them every day! Same with the Divis tower, and the ‘End the Siege of Short Strand’ mural. There’s also a Boycott Isreal sign on that one, but I don’t think I got it in the photo.
