November Snow: The morning after
I was shovelling snow at 6:30 this morning. And somehow, I’m amazingly proud of it. This, however, would be the BEFORE picture.

We shoveled 3 times yesterday, then once more today. I think it must be boredom…
i’m hoping to hear that it goes down to about -40C in bc for about a week or so. that’s what’s required to kill the mountain pine beetle.
re: pine beetle
Seems unlikely. Articles were saying if this had come a few weeks earlier we’d have had a better chance.
I shoveled once Sunday evening and then salted. Sweet, sweet salt seems to have taken care of all the snow since then.
I’m gonna have to get me some salt, me thinks. I’ve got a bag of “melt”, which I believe is a little grit for traction and something else, but I don’t think its as effective as it could be. No hurry though, good enough for now. More snow coming tho’.
Even if the temperatures drop below -40, the snow cover will insulate the base of the trees where the critters reside.
what we need is a good forest fire to burn all the little buggers out
Do you want some of our 30+ days? I think we’re coming up to a week of 35+ temps… I think we need to share more.
