They are onto the new threat…

Seems now they are cracking down on Math teachers at the airport now

Review – Body Worlds 3

So, I took some time out of the hectic schedule (currently > 80 hrs a week of work + 24-30 hours of studying a week for the fricking board exams) to go and see Body Worlds 3 at Science World. It was awesome. Some of the stuff they dissected out and plastinated is incredibly detailed. My favourites were the blood supply networks (image) & entire nervous system. Definitely a great learning experience that was cool. It may not be for the squeamish though, but SlantyWife thought it was great and she can be quite squeamish. I suggest taking a look at the BodyWorlds site and if you are grossed out by the site, then don’t go. Otherwise I recommend it for everyone. It does cost 25 bucks, but this price doesn’t even scratch the surface of the costs of putting this show together. There is also alot of sponsoring to try and cover costs.

If you do go, I suggest booking a reservation if you don’t go in the first couple of weeks (just opened up last week) since after that, if it is like the previous Body Worlds shows it will completely sell out (and that’s 125 tickets every 15 minutes). Total browsing time is at least 1 hour, but if you do the audio tour (we didn’t) then it will likely take 2 hours. As well, I suggest going over the next couple of weeks to avoid the school field trip onslaughts. We went first thing in the am (10 am) and that was a good time to go.

RPS, Japanese style

This way nobody has to lose face.

Last year, a Japanese company could not choose between two equally qualified rival auction houses to sell their art collection. So they resorted to a game of RPS.

The winner went with scissors

That would have failed in our household, our most common opening is ROCK.

Maybe SlantyME could have had something like this at his wedding

Mario Bros Wedding Cake

Argh mateys! Talk like a Pirate day is today!

So go ahead, talk like a pirate. Or better yet, try NOT to talk like one (on Slanty at least) and see how far y’ get.
