Alright I know this is stupid cos I’m in Australia and most of you guys are in Canada but it’s an issue of people power. You all have to vote for GirlGuiding UK. The principle of the matter is Scouts can’t win. Scouts suck and Guides rule. As a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts I have to recruit as many people as possible to put GirlGuiding UK at the top of the list of charities which should receive the proceeds of the book “How to Give to Charities. Yes I know I should be supporting Guides Australia and I do in every way I possibly can but as a volunteer to this great worldwide organisation I HAVE TO BEAT THE SCOUTS! It’s quite simple, nothing personal, it’s just that while the challenge is there I must do all that I can to help. Last time I looked Scouts and Guides were equal! Earlier today we were 1% behind. You can help make a difference. I know this sounds like spam and technically it probably is but you know what- I don’t care. They can’t win. It’s too close and we’re just so much better. Guides and Girl Scouts don’t have a history of molestation for a start…
I’d like to think that all of the people I’ve contacted today have made a difference and it seems to have worked but I have inside information that a scout leader somewhere in Australia is secretly on a Guide leader’s email group and he knows, he knows and he’s going to do everything he can to undo all my hard work. Don’t even think about the other charities on the list they don’t have a chance. Visit www.howtogivetocharity.org and vote for GirlGuiding UK.

Stolen from BAMF. It’s a rap, so its as work safe as any rap with fly girls and potty mouths would be.

So after seeing ‘Deuce Bigalow 2′, there was a term of a ‘Portuguese Breakfast’ in a joke and I had no idea what it meant… hence not getting the joke I googled the term and the first thing that popped up was the urban dictionary. Curiously, being Hungarian, I also decided to see what other terms existed.. and was shocked to read what a ‘Hungarian Mudslide’ was. Sorry not work safe the ‘descriptions’.

Apparently, two opposing lawyers that were unable to come to agreements about anything (including where to hold a deposition) have been told by a judge to settle it by Rock Paper Scissors (RPS)
This is definitely a positive move for the courts, allowing them to clear a backlog of civil cases. Also, it brings the law to the people — where it should be. It might, however, imply that SlantyOD’s brother might be squandering his time at school.

Update – Two great tastes, now better together.
Here’s a comment found on SeenOnSlash about this article.

L1 “Look, according to the expert witnesses, rock would rip right through paper. We have a geologist to testify to the strength of rocks, and a materials engineer to testify to the relative weakness of paper.”
L2 “Well, we have a person from the Rock Paper Scissors assosiation and another from the paper industry, both of whom assure us that paper wraps rock.”
Etc, etc ad infinitum….

I figured I’d post this quickly while an ad’s on… CTV is offering a free on demand web cast of some of their original programming, all of which I imagine is crap, except for one of my favorite shows Corner Gas .. now I just have to wait for them to put an episode I haven’t seen online.

Looking back, its kind of amazing to see how far gaming technology has come since Slanty Mark I.
A Blizzard retrospective (almost 15 years of gaming history)
I also note that it mentions Dune II, which I know 2D played but I never got a chance to… (Thats a set of books that I still mean to read.)

Being a history buff and watching the world change around us, tonight I really dug my research skills into the Vietnam war, and the plight of Vietnam. Then see the effect that a single man, Ho Chi Mihn, had on the current world. Basically my take on this was a man, who wanted to end occupation of his homeland, began a revolutionary crusade and allied with the only group of people who would support his plight – communists! Even though the US look very bitterly on getting their butts kicked there, what business did that have being there? Then I read about the tragic events that the Khmer Rouge did, but they were ousted by the new Vietnam. So what was so wrong/terrible with a man who unified his country and who’s army/future country ousted a regime in Cambodia that committed genocide? Don’t you just love wikipedia??
