The battle of the cutest…

That’s it, Jake & Chip in the cage… Kitten War!!!

Fall has started

Fall has officially started in Vancouver.

It’s the first big, significant dump of rain since the last day of summer. Woke up this morning to the pitter patter of rain on the rooftop, to heavy rain warnings on the radio.

And I decided to bike. The biking is a lot like the driving, I’m sure — its a lot slower and a lot more cautious, the puddles are still a lot of fun to ride through. Hopefully cyclists didn’t have as many accidents as the drivers seemed to have today (based on what we heard on the radio), although at least once poor schmuck was reported as having run into a parked car.

Maybe it was a quickly opened door. Or maybe it was a matter of ‘brakes, they don’t work so good in the rain….’

<pin drop>plink</pin drop>

oh hey, you’re still here? =)) discuss.

Shocking revelation!

Man builds up 30000 volts of static electricity? From walking around and wearing ‘an unfortunate combination of clothes’?

I don’t buy it. I have a better theory. This man is Electro and he’s looking for his arch-nemesis, Spiderman!

Feels like Shaun of the dead

Apparently, I never heard about Zombie Walk 2005. Which is not really a shame, because as you know — “I’m not dead yet!” That said, it sounds like a surreal sort of day

ZOMBIEWALK 2005!!!
Usually held in Toronto, this shambling, stumbling, flailing good time will be held in Vancouver this year! Yay us! So if you have a mild obsession with Zombies (as many of my friends do), or you simply love to get rotten and yell “Braaaaiiins” at random people, then mark this one on your calendar:

Saturday, August 27 – starts 4pm from the VAG and 5pm from 15th and Sophia
(near Main St).

(a month away, so you have plenty of time to plan to be there!)
The walk will start in two-stages as follows:

1. All non-lazy zombies (or “super zombies”) are invited to gather on or around the big steps at the Vancouver Art Gallery no later than 4pm. From the VAG the horde will be skytrain bound. After a stumble through the mall and a short jaunt on Vancouver’s fine public transit system we will de-train at Main St. station and stumble on up to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church – 320 East 15th – two blocks east of Main. Once there, we will take a short pause to collect ourselves, gnaw on brains, and meet up with . . .

Since its over, you’ll have to content yourself with pictures of zombies from the event.

Buy a condo, get a cat for Free!

Here it is shown in all it’s javascripted glory. We expect that the first showings will happen next wednesday or so… maybe we can get this overwith soon…

It is true what they say; your house is never as clean as when you sell it.

What do you say first?

This is the sort of photo that will spread through teh interweb like wildfire, but I thought I’d post it here for those of you that don’t get out much.

Tempora mutantu

Times change, and we change in them.

Used to be that solving a Rubik’s cube was a challenge. Oh sure, you could read a book and memorize the formulas — but that took work!

Now, its come to this: an online Rubik’s cube solver

PS: Congrats on Jerry going off to New Orleans to help out the relief efforts.
