The rumors have hockey coming back soon. Are you as excited as this guy?
Are you as excited as the guy pictured on the right here .. oh wait, that’s a girl!!!!
Nothing to get too excited over but: Bell Launches Ingenious Bicycle Anti-Theft Product.
Maybe you’d be more excited over a Adult Size Replica WWE Belt
Here’s a game I know 2D will be good at….

Kate has some friends from Ireland staying in town for a few months. They’ve just got a place and they need furniture. Anybody got some they can spare for a few months, or just want to get rid of?

Update: For sale: a picture of an F’DUBYA license plate complete with BONUS MYSTERY GIFT (here’s a hint, it’s slightly used and has rock chips in it).

A bit of sad news this morning, Percy Arrowsmith who two weeks ago (along with his wife) set the record for longest marriage (80 years!) has just passed away.
They were so sweet on the news a few days ago. If a little bit hard of hearing.

there’s this weekly in moscow that runs a column called the war nerd. the war nerd is a republican who hates hippies and has a war fetish, but he also thinks that bush and the war in iraq are retarded. an excerpt:
Right now, the papers and TV in Fresno are jabbering about the local semi-pro team. It’s losing money. They can’t handle that. On the other hand…it’s a baseball team. And for them, “Duh…baseball GOOD!” So these fat idiot Christians are in a logical bind like the kind Captain Kirk used to use on alien computers. And there’s smoke coming out of their little ears, because they can’t figure out what to do.
Today the Fresno Republican printed a little poem about baseball, something about:
When the ball is struck, the boy
Advances to first base with joy.See, you read things like that over breakfast at Mickey D’s every morning and it’s real, real easy to understand why they’re probably going to invade Iraq. It’s because they’re stupid.
lots of good columns and sharp analyses in those archives, including his take on the nature of the current insurgency (or resistance, depending on your point of view).

Kylie and I are finally going to have a house warming party! So consider
yourselves invited! Thursday 30th June (Friday is Canada Day). Turn up any time
after 5pm. It’s pot and bottle luck, so please bring food and drink. We’ve only
got a little BBQ, but you’re welcome to use it. Bring your swimmies for the hot
tub – No Speedos….Kylie can’t control herself when she sees me in mine –
although I don’t quite get the reaction I would like! I will post a link to my
website with a map to our place in Ocean Park (nr White Rock) closer to the day.
We have a spare bed and lots of lovely new carpet to sleep on. If you do stay
over there’s a rule that you have to give Kylie a great big hug in the morning –
Ian can give you sneak approach tips!
I need a game to play in the garden – Croquet, bowls etc. have been done. Lawn
darts have been suggested, but the more responsible one of us doesn’t think
that’s such a good idea – nor does our bunny! I’ll welcome other suggestions and
where I can get it (the game!) from.

Sorry, the site has been offline for a couple of days due to a fresh round of work on the house and the associated moving stuff around. If you’re coming around Wednesday, you’ll see the difference.

Didn’t actually get permission to do this, but didn’t get word not to either. You’re all cordially invited to a rather tame little BBQ at the 24601/Blondie residence this coming Wednesday. Don’t show before 6:30 or you’ll likely be stuck outside. Bring your own everything, and come by to catch up. We’ll be there.
Update: We should be home by 6:30. We’ll be volunteering whatever condiments we have (amazingly, its not a huge array), and we’ll probably have some munchies (currently leaning towards chips, salsa, homous and pita). Thus spake 24601.
