Link-o-rama

Here is a site that let’s you buy things that are ‘only available in canada’… the #1 best selling item: Preparation-H!!!

Man, listening to the Less than Jake album Pez Core with one of these would be pretty neat.

If the whole ‘Pez’ thing doesn’t do it for you.. how about a naked guy in your locker… man am I glad I’m not a professional tennis player…

If you don’t like all this reading and video footage is more your thing how about a flying squirrel.

How do homeowners leave the house?

Having lived in a shared living situation most of my life, I’m starting to wonder how people leave their houses in the morning. When I left this morning, I had all sorts of nagging doubts about whether I turned the stove off, whether I had locked all the doors, whether I had turned the water (underneath the bathroom sink) off…

I’ve lived in an apartment with just myself and Blondie before, but of course, thats a little different — if something catches fire or starts flooding — you’ll probably hear about it.

I should set up more webcams at home.

I’m sure 2D could contribute some info…

The stripper FAQ. No sign of recommendations for music though.

Meet Clocky

I think would be great for Blondie… Maybe if they could make it look a little bit more like a cat…

Clocky is, quite simply, for people who have trouble waking up.

When the alarm clock goes off and the snooze button is pressed, Clocky will roll off the bedside table and wheel away, bumping mindlessly into objects on the floor until it eventually finds a spot to rest. Minutes later, when the alarm sounds again, the sleeper must get up out of bed and search for Clocky. This ensures that the person is fully awake before turning it off. Small wheels that are concealed by Clocky’s shag enable it to move and reposition itself, and an internal processor helps it find a new hiding spot every day.

Just so we’re clear, if you laugh at this, you’re going straight to hell.

Finger food

Looks like Wendy’s is dishing out some new finger foods with their value menu.

Musings of 24601

Things thought recently:

  • Car mechanics must get really good at making strange noises. Recently took the car in for some service, describing a problem (“a noise… uh… I think the guys that changed my oil said it was a cracked something… uh…”) and my mechanic asked if it sounded like “clackity-clackity-clackity-clack” when I turned a corner. For anybody that’s wondering, it was a cracked axle boot.

Things done recently:

  • Restored the Whatsplaying functionality on SlantyNet
  • Restored the random banners on SlantyNet
  • Restored the hot water functionality on the bathroom sink

Guess which one is most important? I’m now working on integrating the “Musings of 24601” blog back into SlantyNet (to see if I can). And keeping an eye on the bathroom sink.

Update: My blog is (mostly) back.
