Apparently Godzilla is getting a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Which immediately made me think, ‘what does one have to do to get on the walk?’ Turns out, maybe not that much, or at least once you look at this list of people. There’s gotta be a couple of thousand people on there. Some interesting info, there’s 5 symbols representing categories for inclusion: a motion picture camera (for movie stars & directors), a television set (for those in the television industry), a phonograph record (for singers, songwriters, and recording artists), a radio microphone (for radio luminaries), and the twin theatrical masks of comedy & tragedy (for live stage performers). Apparently Gene Autry has 5 stars, one for each category. More info here.

So thanks to all those who put up with us while we were up North. We had a fantastic time… I’m now setting myself up on a de-tox diet.

The flight home was good, the food was, well, airline food, and the wine was cheap Californian stuff, but all-in-all ok.

We’ll summer’s here, so I suppose I should go and enjoy it. I believe it’s about 32oC tomorrow and warming up for the weekend…

Honestly, most of food items from these Weight Watchers recipe cards from 1974 look way more appetizing than anything I’d make. Plus my food doesn’t come with the witty comments..

2) someone pointed me to this site earlier this week. i spent the better part of 3 days listening to all the chapters. it’s really weird and strangely compelling. do not start it unless you are prepared to get sucked in.
