Kraft Dinner and water sound very tasty
At least, those are the thoughts going through my head as I just learned last night that there’s a good chance that we’re quite broke.
At the very least, we’re 95% commited to moving. That’s right, the cat will have brand new (well, new to him) carpet to play, shed and puke on.
More news when it happens. Next scheduled news…Uh, we don’t schedule news around here.
Update: I am one of those people that doesn’t use a phonebook. MyTelus and Google are my friends. Do you know how annoying it is looking up a company called “Aaaah So Easy” when you don’t know the number of A’s in the name??? Great gimmick for the phonebook, not so sure about the Internet….
Update: All the subjects have been removed, its official, we will be broke on around Oct 15th or thereabouts.

Sweet Jumpin’ Jebus, another land owner! Congrats…and may Jakes puke always smell lemony fresh and clean up easily!
You said the same thing on Friday night. Have you found out more now?
Holy Hell it cost that much for a little house up there,i can get you a house six times bigger for that kind of money here!!
Good luck on the new place!!
Check this one!
Lancaster Twp, PA.
Hum try this one!
Pittsburgh,Pa.
Gramps, I don’t think you’re making anybody feel any better
Here I thought we’d be getting away from such insane prices, and Canmore is only about 10% cheaper than Vancouver. Still renting!
Congrat guys, we’ll have to see it when next we’re down. No clue when that’ll be, tho.
Just trying to help,relocate Gord!
Bard — not 100% sure of the timeline, but I think on Friday night that we were the backup offer. By Monday night (which surprised ourselves and the realtor to all hell), we were the offer in number one spot. (Uh, the reason we were surprised is because we should have known conclusively by Saturday evening…)
Anyway, we need to get our financing in order (a little bit freaky considering we haven’t sold our current place) and get some documents back from the other realtor, and then its official — we’re broke.
Gramps: Hehehe, thanks Gramps. Vancouver has the highest house prices in Canada, so invariably talking to relatives is “Oh my god, I can’t believe you paid HOW much?” But as Vancouverites, I think we’re pretty much used to seeing high prices. Its a little different when its YOUR money though.
Yeah the your money is the thing Gord, hope you’ll be happy there good luck!
Have a Laugh
!
Keep in mind that Gramps is using US dollars though. I’m guessing we couldn’t afford a bus stop there once the banks were done converting our money..
Oh, and if the KD is too expensive I know Costco has a range of low-cost alternatives.
Congrats! Now you can rip, tear, and smash walls like they do on TV.
I think it’s cheaper to buy the cheese sauce powder separately in bulk, and macaroni in bulk.
There’s 5 A’s in Aaaaah-so-easy. (I know this cuz the company is founded by the parents of a gal I went to school with, and yes, being first in the phonebook was the reason). However, their website is http://www.ahsoeasy.com. It doesn’t quite follow the model, but whatever.
There’s no alphabetical listing of teh intarweb!
Want to go to hawaii on Oct 8th then? heh heh. jk.
Home ownership rules! Congrats!
