I was doing some Ultimate surfing last night and stumbled across across a couple of bits of good reading - especially useful for those of us newer to the sport or those wanting to improve.

(1) Beginner’s Guide: I adapted this from a Web site into a Word document so you can read it offline. This is a great overview of strategy, fundamentals, and plays for both offence and defence. I particularly like the defensive “Clam” play - very appropriate given our preference for zone defence…

(2) Rules Companion: This is great reference for those of us who are too busy to read the minutia of the rules - it goes over (in plain language) the frequently-asked-questions that crop up in Ultimate all the time. Things like picks, fouls, marking, etc. are all covered in
easy-to-understand ways with real-world examples.
