When Beer and Hockey collide..
Normally the only time we hear about beer and hockey in the same sentence, we’re either getting gouged $7.50 for a sub-sized pint at a Canuck’s game, or we’re reconsidering the wisdom of the 4 pints we had before jumping out on the ice to promptly fall on our ass. Not so for the fans of the Tampa Bay Lightning. So, the question immediately comes to mind, how many beer would one have to drink to go to the games for (basically) free? Well, we’ll say we’d try for half decent tickets, and if beer costs $6.00 a sleeve, that means you’d have to drink $1,999/$6.00, or 331 sleeves. Since there’s 41 home games, that’s a perfectly reasonable 8.1 sleeves a game. That drops to only 2.4 sleeves a game if you go for the truly cheap seats. So basically if one was to be a heavy drinker, one could go watch one of the best teams in hockey for free, and get loaded doing it. And they even mention the possibility of free taxis!
If it wasn’t full of Floridians, we might move to Tampa Bay…

I wonder if they offer low carb beer as a selection.
of course they’re going to serve the cheapest of cheap beers, meaning coors lite (light), bud, busch, or some other equally undrinkable swill. at ~$17 for 30 cans of the stuff (retail), the cost to them will probably be minimal.
