Here’s quite a good and imaginative computer animation short. Or at least I enjoyed it.
SlantyG sent in this eBay auction, so not to be out done I found this related auction.

Trying to add a new feature to a website (not initially built by me). Started running thru the code and found this gem:
The following commented code will be used when the (function) is implemented.
Fantastic, I hope that its built into the logic already too.

Yet another season of Slanty hockey has come and gone. The more things change (we won some games) the more they stay the same (Ian didn’t get credit for his goal again). The most constant of all things for our hockey team however, is our burning desire to drink beer, as evidenced by our total domination in the bar contest.
So, with that in mind, and armed with a slight surplus in funds for our team, we’re throwing a Slanty.Net hockey wrap-up party extravanganza this Saturday (that’s May 1st). We’ll be starting at 5:00pm for a little BBQ action (bring all your own food), and continuing on from there into the night where you’re all invited to partake in the Slanty.Net hockey keg.
Now I know some of you did not, in fact, play hockey on our team. Some of you many not even have watched any of our hockey (or even NHL hockey) this year. You are what I like to call filler, please come as our teammates tend to smell bad (from my experience anyway) and it would be nice to talk to some sweeter smelling folk. So bring your friends, bring your family, and most importantly, bring your thirst for The Ale…

Just like how I feel.
To be more accurate, I don’t feel nothing. I feel a little sadness, a little resignation. And a lot of not knowing exactly how I should feel.
Thats what happens when you know somebody is almost ready to take their leave of this world and enter the next. Wife’s away right now, visiting her grandmother, maybe for the last time.
Its not a sudden illness, its not a surprise. I’ve had lots of time to compose my thoughts, but thats never really enough is it? I’ve just got the cliched mix of relief and regret that seems to accompany a drawn-out illness in old-age.
Thinking of old-age, I’ve had Johnny Cash’s Hurt going through my mind again. How young and vital he looks in some of the earlier footage compared to what he had become.
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end

Am I the only one that thinks the s*** is but one small inch away from the fan on this whole HEU strike thing. Whether you like unions or not (full disclosure: I like them in principal, but they tend to irritate me in practise), I think it’s hard to imagine somebody couldn’t see how people might not get fired up at legislating them back to work with a 11% pay cut, longer hours, no job security, and the pay cut possibly retroactive to April 1st. So now the support strikes are beginning, and who knows who’ll join in the act. Could be exciting times! I wish I could go on a support strike, I’d like to sit outside with my ‘coffee’ on a day like today.
It could all peter out into nothing though.

Another addictive Yeti game. My best so far is 1265. He’s also got an album out apparently.
We’re having a pool tourney here at work and I think I’m in to the second round, so I hope it doesn’t deteriorate into this
Also great, check out this article. You know, cause there’s nothing else more important to discuss than the possibility that the leader of North Korea may or may not appear to be going balk in one or two photos..

I suppose it was only a matter of time, but Slashdot points our this article that talks about a Russian company that is offering ‘legal’ music downloads for basically pennies. Discuss.

Does anyone else find it ironical that TV advertisers are cutting their advertisements while movie theatres are adding more and more shit commercials for 30 min before you get to see the “feature attraction”?
