Damn it, bugs already.

It seems like if you hit ‘refresh’ after making a post, it will double post it.. hence this scecond item… ahh I’ll fill it with pictures of crazy wannabe Aussies:

Go ahead and post your own in the comments …

Are they in a steel cage?

It’s gotta be the croc. Just look at him. He’s badass. Although he doesn’t have a jetpack, that could mean something.

He is not a messiah, he’s a very naughty boy..

Life of Brian set for re-release in theaters. Happy days are here again!

My life for the Judean People’s Front!

Drinking while thinking, but thinking bout drinking…

Ninjas gone wild!!

Here’s a strange little french movie about drinking to get you in the mood for the rest of the post.

And now to publically revel in my own hedonism, the imcomparable Modern Drunkard magazine has their ’40 things a drunkard should do before he dies’ posted online… Read on for my run down..

I’ll give myself a point for every one I’ve ‘accomplished’ and a half point where I think I deserve some credit, but haven’t quite obeyed the letter of the law.

#2 – half point – They recommend 4 days, I’ve done 3 days in Vegas where the first thing I put in my stomach was a 750 ml bottle of Heineken, and a croissant. But I couldn’t do the full 4 days.

#3 – full point – I’m not sure how big a fifth is, but I’ve finished a 750 ml bottle once … once … But I’ll do it again on my 30th bday!

#4 – full point.

#9 – half point – I’m not sure if by ’86-d from a bar’ they mean permanently or not, but I’ve certainly been kicked out of a bar before.

#14 – half point – helped to build and outfit OJ’s bar.

#15 – full point – ahhh Hornby. If it wasn’t for OJ and 2D I’d still be wandering around that wonderful island trying to find my way home..

#16 – full point – hell I should get two for this one, I got half cut at lunch today with him!

#18 – full point – The Heineken brewery. 6 or so times. I could almost give the tour. I’ve also done the Guinness brewery, but it wasn’t as good. But what could be?

#19 – full point – 2D and Ken, sitting on the beach drinking whiskey and smoking cigars. That was 24 hours before I got alchohol poisoning strangely enough. Maybe if I had gone to bed at some point.

#23 – full point – it’s hard not to drink in England with all those bars, and believe me I’ve tried.

#30 – full point – I gotta say, a stag in the woods with no electricity, with your beer chilling in the creek, is pretty good times.

#31 – full point – Was it New Years ’99? Honestly, help me out, I was destroyed that night.

#33 – half point – stole a beer at Bard’s wedding. I’d give myself a full point but the beer was free so it doesn’t really count.

#36 – half point – I’ve tried absinthe, but never with the sugar and water. I think my bro still has some real stuff, I’d like to give it a go some time.

#38 – full point – One week? Try 2 years.

#39 – half point – I don’t think they’re talking about u-brew type places, but they don’t actually say that.

So by my count that’s 10 full points, and 13 with the half points thrown in. How do you score?

I reckon with a small amount of effort i could rattle off about 10 more, but some of them would be tricky..

But we did…

Just got back from Cuba and one interesting thing about Cuba is that they don’t have any betting or gambling down there (something about removing all American influences that were plaguing Cuba in the past when it was a Mafia den in the early 30′s-50′s before Castro took over). But this doesn’t occur in Canada…and I’ve been told that there are some friendly wagers about what was or was not expected to occur between Anne and I on our Cuba trip….

Bottom line, I’m a little poorer in cash, but a lot richer in my relationship. Gratz to the people who bet on the engagement actually occurring.

More fun than teething…

In your mind, imagine being contacted by that VERY CUTE stranger across from you on the West Coast Express, via your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone or PDA… and then getting a text message invitation for an intimate encounter somewhere on the rolling premises. The concept is being called “Toothing” and it’s catching on in the UK.

Any volunteers to be a west coast test-pilot for this alluring use of technology? =)

Strange = Japanese

This is straight off Penny Arcade, but is well worth pointing out here. Check out this trailer for a movie from Japan called Casshern. I don’t know what they’re on about, but I like the cut of their jib.

Also, here’s a bunch of great photos. “Pictures of the year” in fact.

Word descrambler..

Since Geeklife is apparently down, I feel the need to provide more content than I would normally, just so we can appear to be a functioning site here at Slanty.Net. So with that in mind, here’s a fun word descrambler game, with characters that look exactly like they’re out of South Park.

Also, for youse Americans, Google goes local. Or, if the news article isn’t your thing, you can try it out for yourself.
