Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for tuning into the inaugural Tour De Slanty. Since no networks chose to buy rights for the event (really, tv viewing public, is a coupla 2-4′s to much too ask for?), you’ll have to make do with our descriptions of it.

It’s a beautiful day for this event, bright and sunny with a just a few clouds in the sky. 21C predicted for this afternoon, possibly a little warmer. A little on the hot side for riding, but perfect temperature for drinking beer outside. This is going to make it a little difficult as our competitors manoeveur for room on the restaurant decks — but hey, they are trained SlantyNet athletes.
