I was browsing the pbase most popular galleries (a place I put pics up cause it’s more friendly than 24601′s server scripts) when I discovered that this man has a twin. (ed: Not Safe For Work)

This game looks pretty wild. I don’t really have the time to try it out as it’s pretty involved, but it looks super cool for an online game..

A UHDTV capable of producing TV at 16 times better resolution than HDTV. A quote from the article:
“They have now built a disc recorder system made up of 16 HDTV recorder units with a capacity of about 3.5 terabytes, allowing them to shoot 18 minutes of UHDV footage.
NHK researcher Dr. Kohji Mitani said the project team had shot a three-minute demonstration video by attaching the camera to the front of a vehicle and driving it around the streets.
The footage was then shown to members of the public on a 4x7m wide-angle screen provoking, according to Mitani, gasps of astonishment. Some viewers even experienced nausea because of the ultra realistic visual effect of speed without the usual physical sensation of movement.”

Most of you have probably watched the trailer for the 3rd installment of the Matrix Trilogy, but have you seen the trailer for the “FANIMATRIX”? It looks pretty good for amateurs.
You can click on here for the bittorrent link that will get you the 14 meg trailer in less than a minute.

Hot double date
I’d like to thank my date last night for…um…. setting me up with my second date (aka pre-stag Number 2).
Date number one was better-looking and a sparkling conversationalist. That said, date number two (OJ, OD and Wolf) brought Fireball and encouraged my alcoholic tendencies. It’s a bit of a toss-up which one I prefer.
Are you strong in the Force??
We’re heading down to see the final show of “One Man Star Wars Trilogy” tonight. The smart money says we’re going to be drinking at the Cat’s Meow on Granville Island starting at around 5:30 or so.
Thank god this isn’t what hiring is like in Vancouver
Manhattan ad firm DiMassimo Brand had eight 20-somethings live in their offices for five days, completing challenges in a job-hunting version of Survivor. The reward — a 20 to 30K/year job. That pretty much tells me that the ball is in the employers court these days. Seriously — are they allowed to do that? read about it here
